The management of the National Board For Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) has released the Results of the NBAIS examinations but the results are not officially out on their website. The examination results for the 2024 NBAIS were released on Monday, November 6, 2024.

If you are one of the candidates who sat for the 2024 National Board For Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) examinations, you need to get the result checker pin and serial number contained on the smart identity card used during the exams to check your NBAIS results now that the result has been released. Here is a simple step-by-step guide to help check your result on the NBAIS website, via SMS, and serial number.

How to Check NBAIS Results Online

To check your result now online using your card, do the following;

  • Visit the NBAIS Result Checker website.
  • Enter your 10-digit Examination Number (7-digit center number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123679780).
  • Enter your Examination Year (e.g 2023)
  • Select the Examination Type
  • Enter the e-PIN Voucher Number on your scratch card
  • Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) stated on your e-PIN
  • Click the Submit button and wait patiently for the results window to display
  • You can print the result or save it as a PDF and print it later.

How to Check NBAIS Results Using SMS – How to Check Your NBAIS Results

You can check your NBAIS result through SMS on any type of mobile phone without an internet connection. To get started now, follow the below steps

  • Using your mobile phone, go to Messages, open a new SMS page, and Type “NBAIS *ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear” (Example; NBAIS*4123679780*123456789016*2024)
  • Send to 32323
  • Wait for your result to be delivered to your phone via SMS. This might take a few minutes and the price to send each SMS is ₦30 only.

It is important to note that irrespective of the method you choose to use, you must have purchased your NBAIS Scratch card to check your result. The scratch card PIN is what is needed in the PIN section of the SMS you will send to 32327. At the moment, only MTN, Glo, and Airtel subscribers can check their NBAIS Results using this SMS method.

The following Institutions and Courses are Open for bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma programs in Canada for September 2024 entry. If you wish to study in Canada at any of the institutions mentioned here, you may need to take action now before the application window closes.

Note that the age limit for this undergraduate program application is 16 to 23 years. This applies to bachelor’s Degrees and direct entry to bachelor’s Degree programs. The Age limit does not apply to Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs.

  • Bachelor’s degree programs offered by the University of Manitoba are available in Direct entry mode.
  • Only WASSCE is accepted for admission, NECO and NABTEB exams are not accepted.
  • The candidate should not be older than 23 years and the WASSCE result should not be older than the year 2020
  • Direct entry mode: This is for entry into the Undergraduate University 1 programs. On completion of this 1-year program, students select their major and spend 3 years or more to obtain their degree in their selected major.
  • No Tuition deposit is required after admission for you to process your study permit.

University of Manitoba Tuition Fee

The University of Manitoba tuition fee is 16,000 Canadian Dollars per year, yearly Tuition is payable in 2-3 installments, and no deposit is required after admission.

About the BIGSAS-DAAD Graduate School Scholarship

The Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies, BIGSAS, invites female academicians to join the international community of early career researchers working in the field of African Studies. BIGSAS provides a center for creative and innovative doctoral training based on the inter- and multi-disciplinary research environment of the Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence at the University of Bayreuth.

In 2023, BIGSAS is awarding two scholarships within the Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). For these, BIGSAS will nominate candidates who have successfully passed the application procedure. The final selection for the scholarship will be done by DAAD. The scholarship periods begin in October 2023 at the earliest (including a German language course starting in summer 2023, if applicable). The scholarships are awarded for a total scholarship period of up to four years.

To be considered for this scholarship program, all candidates are to meet the following requirements

  • Applicants must have an exceptional Master’s or equivalent degree. The last Master’s or equivalent degree must have been obtained within the last six years at the time of nomination by BIGSAS.
  • Your application must be accompanied by two reports (letters of recommendation) from teaching faculty members at the home universities.
  • Applicants should not have been residents in Germany for more than fifteen months at the time of nomination. While applications may be submitted in German, English, or French, please note that the working language of BIGSAS is English.

Benefits of the Scholarship

  • Successful candidates will receive a monthly payment of 1,200 euros
  • Payments toward health, accident, and personal liability insurance cover
  • Travel lump sum (depending on country of origin)

  • monthly rent subsidy
  • monthly allowance for accompanying members of the family (about 200 euros child allowance per child; about 275 euros marriage allowance)

Old Mutual Scholarships for Undergraduate South African Students – Apply Now

The scholarship is aimed at assisting black students in their first or second year of study, to pursue their tertiary education at select South African universities and the applications for this scholarship are open annually for interested students in the above-mentioned field of study.

Scholarship Coverage

The Imfundo Trust Scholarships provide funding to study on a full-time basis for undergraduate students and selected postgraduate degree programs at selected universities in South Africa.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applications are only accepted from South African citizens.
  • Applicants who will be in their first year next year must have achieved an average of at least 70% in the mid-year Grade 12 examinations and a minimum of 70% in Mathematics and 70% in English FAL or 60% in English HL.
  • Scholarships are only available to applicants who will be in their first or second year in the coming year, with the exception of Climate Studies.
  • Applicants currently in their first year must have achieved an average of 65% and above in the latest examinations (mid-year / June).

Some persons wish to complete their Ph.D. programs but sometimes they lack the financial capacity to do so and this is where the Christian Scholarship Foundation comes in as they help exceptional scholars who are faced with such challenges of finance and provide them with $5,000 to $20,000 support to help them complete their studies provided they are ready to pass their knowledge to others in universities, colleges, secondary schools, etc.

Eligibility Criteria for the Graduate Fellowship 

  • The CSF Graduate Fellowship is available to all members of Churches of Christ who are teaching or who plan to teach religion and related subjects at a collegiate level (e.g. colleges, universities, schools of theology).
  • Applicants can pursue a career in any field related to the recognized theological disciplines in programs of instruction leading toward a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Interested applicants must have satisfactorily completed at least one full year of study as a candidate for the Ph.D. or equivalent post-graduate degree prior to the year of application.
  • Applicants who have previously applied and were not awarded a Fellowship are eligible to re-apply.
  • Previous recipients are eligible to apply and may receive the award one additional time.
  • All second-time applicants will undergo the same application and evaluation procedures as first-time applicants.

Christian Scholarship Foundation Graduate Fellowship Application Procedure

A complete application includes:

  • The Christian Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Graduate Fellowship application form;
  • A summary statement of plans for the academic year for which the application is made, including the signature of approval by the applicant’s faculty advisor or major professor;
  • An estimated budget that includes income and expenditures for the academic year for which the application is made;
  • Official transcripts of all previous academic work, undergraduate and graduate;
  • Four (4) letters of recommendation regarding personal, religious, and intellectual development;
  • A research paper or other example of the applicant’s most scholarly written work (not more than 50 pp. in length).

Application Deadline

The application form and supporting documents must be received by The Christian Scholarship Foundation Inc. by January 15 of the award year(the following year).

All applicants will be notified of their status by April 1. Recipients are not permitted to defer the Fellowship. The award payment will be made in September of the same year.
