If you would like to run your favorite Android apps on your pc, here are my top 3 most recommended Android emulators that can help you do that with ease with a click of the mouse.
Top 3 Android Emulators For PC
1: Bluestacks
Bluestacks is a very unique Android emulator and it’s actually my favorite favorite because of its simplicity and easy setup.
To use Bluestacks, just download the app from the official website and install it on your pc.
BlueStacks is best used for running Android games and light apps. The user interface of BlueStacks is not too different from what you have on your Android phone and app installation is very easy with a simple double click. The software synchronizes with your Google account thereby enabling you to log into Google Play Store and download apps.
System Requirements To Run BlueStacks
- Windows 7/8/8.1/Vista/XP (32-bit)
- 2 GB RAM
- 9 GB HDD os SSD
2: Genymotion
Genymotion is a special emulator meant mainly for app development, testing, and running of Android apps on pc. Genymotion is packed with features such as; resizable windows, screencasts, Java API, command-line tool, sensor emulation, CPU virtualization, pre-configured devices, etc. One thing that is great about Genymotion is that you can simply drag and drop apps to install them on the device.
Genymotion can run on OS X, Windows, and Linux.

3: YouWave
Youwave is the very first Android emulator used before I fell in love with Bluestacks and stopped using it but I still enjoyed using it since it was able to serve my needs then, but the process was kind of complicated at that time which is why I sourced for another option.
YouWave is based on VirtualBox and has its own virtual disk space which is separate from the Windows File System. YouWave uses a Virtual Disk (VDI) to store its files. Files saved in YouWave can be accessed through its shared folder or through cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
The system requirements are not high and the interface is user-friendly and easy to navigate. One good thing about the YouWave app is that it is compatible with Google Wallet and PayPal transactions. It is, however, a paid emulator and you will have to pay to use it after the trial period is over.
System Requirements To Run YouWave
- Intel Pentium 1.6GHz CPU
- 2GB DRAM
- 500MB disk space
- Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7/ Windows 8 (32/64 bit)
