Undergraduate and Diploma Studies With Work Permit In Canada
The following Institutions and Courses are Open for bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma programs in Canada for September 2024 entry. If you wish to study in Canada at any of the institutions mentioned here, you may need to take action now before the application window closes.
Note that the age limit for this undergraduate program application is 16 to 23 years. This applies to bachelor’s Degrees and direct entry to bachelor’s Degree programs. The Age limit does not apply to Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs.
Canada Undergraduate Program Duration
- Bachelor’s degree programs run for 4 years
- Diplomas run for 2 years
- Advanced Diplomas run for 3 years
Students above the age limit stated can apply for Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs if they have relevant work experience or a career in the Subject Matter.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate and Diploma Studies In Canada
All interested candidates are advised to read carefully to understand the eligibility requirements for each Institution with the average 1-year Tuition.
University of Manitoba
- Program available for May 2024 entry
- Bachelor’s degree programs offered by the University of Manitoba are available in Direct entry mode.
- Only WASSCE is accepted for admission, NECO and NABTEB exams are not accepted.
- The candidate should not be older than 23 years and the WASSCE result should not be older than the year 2020
- Direct entry mode: This is for entry into the Undergraduate University 1 programs. On completion of this 1-year program, students select their major and spend 3 years or more to obtain their degree in their selected major.
- No Tuition deposit is required after admission for you to process your study permit.
University of Manitoba Tuition Fee
The University of Manitoba tuition fee is 16,000 Canadian Dollars per year, yearly Tuition is payable in 2-3 installments, and no deposit is required after admission.

Conestoga College
- Bachelor’s degree programs require six credits with a minimum of C6 in both Mathematics and English.
- Both WAEC and NECO are accepted. NABTEB is not accepted.
- WAEC and NECO results should be verified online.
- The age limit for a bachelor’s degree is 23 years.
- Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs require either WAEC or NECO with 6 credits minimum including a minimum of C6 in BOTH Mathematics and English. NABTEB is not accepted.
- There is no age restriction for Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs but relevant work experience is required on the CV
Conestoga College Tuition Fee
The Conestoga College tuition fee is 16,000 Canadian Dollars. The institution requires a tuition deposit after admission and the amount is 1500 Canadian Dollars.
Fanshawe College: (16,000 Canadian Dollars. Tuition deposit after admission 50%)
Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs require either WAEC or NECO with 6 credits minimum including minimum of C6 in BOTH Mathematics and English. NABTEB is not accepted. There is no age restriction but relevant work experience is required on the CV.
4) St Lawrence College: (15,000 Canadian Dollars. Tuition deposit after admission 2350 Canadian Dollars)
Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs require either WAEC or NECO with 6 credits minimum including a minimum of C5 in BOTH Mathematics and English. NABTEB is not accepted. There is no age restriction but relevant work experience is required on the CV.
Important Answers You May Need
- Student Visa holders are eligible to work while studying
- You are eligible to apply for a post-graduation work permit after your program. The duration of the permit is 2 or 3 years
- A dependent visa application can be filed After the Student Visa has been granted
- Students will be required to provide Bank Statements to show proof of funds for their Study and Dependent Visa application. The minimum funds expected for a Canada Study permit is N20 Million
- A test of English is not required

Steps to Apply for Undergraduate and Diploma Studies With Work Permit In Canada
It is recommended that you apply for a minimum of 2 schools and 4 courses. Select the 2 schools you want to pursue your undergraduate degree in from the above list and then also consider 4 courses from the list of courses outlined. Then visit the school’s website, click on the admission page, and submit your application for admission. You will need your CV and WAEC or NECO. Remember not all schools accept NECO so do well to check if the school you wish to apply to, to know if they accept NECO.
- Once you have an offer of admission, the institution will require you to pay the Tuition deposit as stated above, before we can proceed to the Student Visa application.
- Note that for the Student Visa applications, applicable fees will be determined by the family size(for those traveling with family) and previous Visa application history, if any.
